Planting & Care
Plant in well draining soil, mound or create a raised bed 12-18 inches high in soils suspected of poor drainage, make sure to not overwater or keep too wet. If mounding it is best to mound to 18 to 24 inches above grade and plant directly into the mound. If building a raised bed make 12 to 18 inches tall and fill with native soil and plant directly into the bed. Position tree so it has access to at least 8 hours of direct sunlight favoring the morning sun, this will allow the leaves to dry off easily and quickly from nightly dews.
