Planting & Care
Strawberries must be planted in well-drained soil, with the crown set at soil level. Grow in average, medium wet, well-drained soil in full sun. Prefers organically rich, sandy loams. Self-pollinating. Plants have a spreading growth habit and are compact and easy to grow in containers of all kinds. For winter protection, cover plant with straw or leaves after the temperature has fallen to about 20°F. Plants should be replaced after two years as quality and yield begin to decrease.
