A real gem of a selection from the Ira Condit collection. The Flanders fig was introduced in 1965, one of many of the Condit varieties introduced. Adapted to the warmer climates, this is one fine flavored fig. Rich, sweet and meaty, medium to large size fruit has a long slender neck and a pyriform shape. Very beautiful looking violet stripped figs with amber flesh are abundant on this heavy producing variety.

A strong vigorous grower it is able to be pruned aggressively to control the height and K Keep the tree under 10 feet tall. For Fig lovers in in areas where figs do well this is a must have variety.

Planting & Care
Figs are adapted to a wide range of soil types only requiring good drainage. Plant in full sun with at least 8 hours of direct sunlight favoring the morning sun. Figs require very little extra attention other than to control the size and spread of the tree. Drought tolerant once established, water regularly the first year and then back off the second year in the ground.
