Punica granatum’Gissarski Rozovyi’
Another of the special selections from the Collection of Gregory Levin held at the Germplasm repository at UC Davis's Wolfskill Farm. A large pale pink fruit with a wonderful balance of acid to sugar. This smooth sweet flavor with just the right amount of tartness makes the Gissarki Rozovyi one of the favorites for back yard growers. Pink over light green to yellow skin with large pink arils that are packed full of juice with a soft edible seed. A real late summer treat for those who blend their own juices. Toms Red makes a perfect companion to a number of other popular blending Pomegranates varieties. Long hang time of over a month while the quality just keeps improving. This might be one of the latest varieties you will harvest. Is prone to cracking
