Planting & Care
Pomegranates grow well in a wide range of soils. They require good drainage and will not tolerate standing water around their roots. If poor drainage is suspected mound the plant of 12 inches above the lay of the land. Plant in full sun favoring the morning sun in a location that gets at least 8 hours of direct sun a day. Water regularly the first season and less frequently until fully established. Drought tolerant when fully established. Grow as a bush or prune into a tree form. Excellent landscape plant with a quite stunning display of flowers in the early spring. Watch for scale or Leaf footed stinkbug, very few other problems
