Planting & Care
Lee X Nova do well in sandy soil, but they will adapt to most native soils. The tree must have well-draining soil and will not tolerate standing in water. If poor drainage is suspected plant in a mound 24 inches high and 4 feet wide of a raised bed 12 to 18 inches high and 3 feet wide. Mulching helps retain moisture and helps to stabilize the soil temperature as well as preventing the mound from settling before the roots get established. Requires full sun with at least 8 hours of direct sunlight favoring the morning sun. Trees tend to be small and bushy and can easily be kept 7' - 10' with regular pruning. Makes an excellent container plant. The white flowers are very fragrant.
