Most often grown as a bush the glossy dark green foliage and fragrant flowers produce a thin skinned, juicy lemons year round. Meyer lemons are small, rounder and begin yellow and then as they reach full ripeness become slightly orange. Meyer lemons are prized for their juice, which is sweeter and somewhat floral and less acidic than other lemons. At peak ripeness the Meyer Lemon can be squeezed directly over a glass of ice for instant lemonade. . The versatility of this gourmet lemons leaves no wonder it is the most planted citrus in the world The purple-tinted flowers are very fragrant and the trees natural dwarfing make it and easy plant to place in the landscape. If you don't have the room, no problem the Meyer Lemon makes a wonderful container tree. Planting & Care

Lemon trees do well in a rich soil mixture of native soil and grow mulch. Lemons must have well-draining soil and will not tolerate standing in water. Mulching helps retain moisture and helps to stabilize the soil temperature. Requires full sun, 8 - 12 hours a day and consistent moisture. Meyer Lemon rees tend to be small and bushy, and will reach 15' outdoors but can easily be kept 7' - 10' with regular pruning. Makes an excellent container plant.
