Lemon trees do well in a rich soil mixture of native soil and grow mulch. Lemons must have well-draining soil and will not tolerate standing in water. Mulching helps retain moisture and helps to stabilize the soil temperature. Requires full sun, 8 - 12 hours a day and consistent moisture. Meyer Lemon rees tend to be small and bushy, and will reach 15' outdoors but can easily be kept 7' - 10' with regular pruning. Makes an excellent container plant.
