Planting & Care
Minneolas do well in a rich soil mixture of native soil and grow mulch. This tree must have well-draining soil and will not tolerate standing in water. Mulching helps retain moisture and helps to stabilize the soil temperature. Mandarins require full sun, 6 - 8 hours a day and consistent moisture. Tree grows into a full rounded crown. Minneloa trees can easily be kept 7' - 10' with regular pruning, so they make an excellent container plant. The attractive white blossoms are very fragrant.
