Is This Plant Self Pollinating?

Persian Lime is self-fertile, but the fruit crop will be larger if the tree is planted with a second tree.

Citrus latifolia

Enjoy juicy, large fruit with a uniquely fragrant, spicy aroma - and no seeds. The white blossoms are fragrant and the juice is less acidic than that of the Mexican lime. Persian limes make delicious limeade or marmalade. Makes an excellent container plant that will tolerate occasional light frost.

Planting & Care
Lime trees can produce ripe fruit year-round.They do well in a rich soil mixture of native soil and grow mulch. This tree must have well-draining soil and will not tolerate standing in water. Mulching helps retain moisture and helps to stabilize the soil temperature. Requires full sun, 6 - 8 hours a day and consistent moisture. Tree grows into a densely branched, full rounded crown. Lime trees are fast-growing and will reach 20' outdoors but can easily be kept 7' - 10' with regular pruning. Makes an excellent container plant that willl tolerate occasional light frost.
