Drought resistant trees grow in alkaline soils with little fertilization. Provide good drainage. Plant in early Spring or early Fall. This tree enjoys warm and humid environments, full sunlight or partial shade. Olive trees do not do well in windy locations. The trees are evergreen, long-lived, beautiful ornamentals with soft, gray-green foliage. Trees can grow up to 20' outdoors in hot climates. In a container on a patio or indoors it will remain compact, measuring 7' - 10' at full maturity, with regular pruning.
