Is This Plant Self Pollinating?

Red Pearl Lingonberry is self-fertile, but the fruit crop will be larger if the tree is planted with a second tree.

Description

Vaccinium vitis-idaea

"Uff da!" You'll miss out if you don't plant a Red Pearl lingonberry bush in your garden. Long a staple in Scandinavian diets, these small red berries have a sweet acidic flavor that adds brightness to many dishes. While tasty fresh, they are usually cooked and used in jams, jellies, juices, or even wine. They're also very good dried and used in place of raisins. In your yard this variety provides a low, lush groundcover or border shrub with pink bell-shaped flowers and a Late Summer/early Fall crop.
